Bio:

Derek Allen grew up in the Rubber Capitol of the world; Akron, OH.  His life was not surrounded by aviation, but he was part of theater and played multiple sports prior to joining the Air Force in 2004.  Upon enlisting, Derek was assigned to multiple F-16 Fighting Falcon and A-10 Thunderbolt II units as an aircraft maintainer.  He has served in South Korea, Southwest Asia, California and Arizona.  Derek served two and half years as the A-10 Demonstration Team Superintendent; along with maintenance, equipment and aircraft movement, he was also the Team narrator.  Derek has narrated shows in the US, Canada, Mexico and South Korea; to include the first time and A-10 Team had traveled to Mexico City.

​Upon leaving the Demo Team, Derek wanted to continue to inspire the next generation of aircraft maintainers and pilots by announcing airshows.  Derek started Attack Kid Productions (named for his son) in 2019, and has been part of the TriCity WaterFollies, Moses Lake Air Show, Tacoma/Gig Harbor Freedom Fest and Air Show, Arlington Fly-In and Alberta International Air Show.  Derek also works as a contributor for LiveAirShowTV while at shows providing updates that will be placed on multiple social media platforms.

​​Derek brings a wealth of knowledge to any show due to his background with the A-10 Demo Team and military aviation in general.  He can provide help with securing US Military assets and with the setting up of the show site.  He also understands social media and the positive impact it can have on the aviation and air show industry.

Currently, he lives in Tucson, AZ with his wife Ercilia and three children Hailey, David and Noah.

Derek has provided Emcee services for retirement/award ceremonies, graduation events and Distinguished Visitor briefings and Q/As.
